The snow never once let up as the night stretched on interminably.
Trees have been exploding or crashing to the ground all around us since at least midnight. One has hit, and others may too.
the tree that crashed into the house during the night struck the deck and is still on the roof
tree destruction everywhere

I'm so exhausted I can barely stand up. I've toted snow inside to melt all morning long. I've wiped snow off dad's car only to have it dump back onto it out of the sky.
We walked down the road and there are at least 9 trees down, most across the lines, between here and the closest neighbours. The lines are down at every single pole. Our pole between the barn and house is leaning at a fairly rakish angle. If it goes, it'll take both connecting lines down.
I'm going to sleep in the guest room because it'll be safer, closer to mom and dad, and probably warmer since only one adjoining wall.
tree that crashed into the deck still hanging from roof
melting snow for water since well is inaccessible without power
trees down everywhere
dad's car nearly buried - snow heeling off roof
my car has a blanket over the top
oak downed over garden fence
trees across the road and lines down almost the entire way
me looking more than a bit shell-shocked
this is supposed to be A ROAD
It's 19:34 and dad just fell asleep on the couch after we ate and were relaxing.
I nearly could've myself, and had said so apparently not loud enough to awaken him.
And oh yeah. We head a tree or large branch snap right then, too.
I have my phone in airport and the battery does amazingly better this way. Will have to remember.
Going to bed. Dead on feet.
too exhausted to move or think
